Mrs. Norwood email concerned Pete

Good afternoon, and thank you for your email. I do apologize for not getting back to you sooner. First of all, I am really proud of his English. He talks all the time. I also am proud of him in his academics as well. For example, how he knows all of his letters and letter sounds. He also is doing very well with writing, and has a great imagination.

In your email you said you were concerned about his behavior. The reason he has come home with “warnings” is because he sometimes doesn’t follow my directions. I might ask him to stop talking during carpet time because it’s time to listen to me, and he’ll keep talking to his neighbor or he turns his back and doesn’t want to listen. He misses out on instruction and then when it’s time to go sit at their tables to get busy with their work he doesn’t know what to do. He’s not listening. I am glad that he asks for help, but if he listened the first time he would not have to ask. I hope this makes sense.

I will keep working with him and please talk to him at home. If you need anything else please email me.

Thank you,
Mrs. Norwood

On another note, we have a program here at school on March 10th. Can Thomas participate and sing in the program? If so, please bring him to the gym at 6:00 to change into his field trip t-shirt. The program will start at 6:30 and following the program is Open House where you can come see the classroom. Send me an email if he can sing next Thursday.
