Arkansas Trip

After lunch at Chinese retaurant in DFW area, we arrived in Texarkana in the evening and stay at Howard Johnson Hotel. The room have some wear with bed bugs. Crappy breakfast.

We left in the morning for Hot Springs. Nice weather.

The display springs at Hot Springs are too small. Got some sample of the popular water for souvenir.

Drove up the moutain to Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Good view of the surrounding area.

Lunch at Fisherman's Wharf. Average quality seafoods but the view is very good. We have a good time.

Next we drove to Eureka Springs. Rollercoaster roads. Arrived in town late because our GPS data are not accurate. We stay at Grand Central Hotel. The hotel builted in 1883 with collection of antique furnitures. Feel stange at first but no ghosts here. The Management price the room at about $176 per night. With discount from Groupon we cannot complain. We cannot get appointment to get haircut at the salon because it's full. The scallop dinner at the Taverne is ok. Eureka Springs is good drinking place where small town folks gather. The cold springs are dry. Small town charm with many cattles in surrounding areas. On the second day we ate at New Delhi Cafe. The foods are ok. We drove to Great Passion Play to see Christ of the Ozarks across from the hotel. On the third day we left Eureka Springs.

On the way to Choctaw Casino in Durant Oklahoma we got lost. Spend one night at the casino to gamble, exercise and swim in the heat pools. Ate at Americo’s. Pizzas. Generous toppings but there room for taste improvement. Drove home and realized how flat Texas is.

We ate lunch at Rockfish in McKinney.
